2004-10-06 [Doormat]: nvm...i'm not going to bother debating until you've been on both sides of the debaters....yo
2004-10-06 [nameless, again]: No, I have read plenty on both sides...And right now my media is screaming Kerry and Moores movies have made plenty of money...the fact that I have a seperate oppinon bothers you aparently so you through out lame words like "brainwashed".
2004-10-06 [Lioness123]: I don't think anyone should take anything Moore has to say seriously. He only gives half truths and never gives you the full story. I've seen his movie "Bowling for Columbine" and have no interest at all in seeing "Farenheight 911"
2004-10-06 [nameless, again]: and you don't have ANY facts that I would scream B.S. about...
2004-10-06 [Dil*]: well, i know he didn't do it all for the money..he was a journalist once..not making that much money..doing a show called the unpopular truth.
2004-10-06 [nameless, again]: I hate Bowling for Columbine sooo much...He tried to place blame on anything besides the fact that two outcasts were mad and insane...It keeps bringing so much bad publicity to my school and I'm sick of it...
2004-10-06 [nameless, again]: He was doing it for money...He was sick of being a poor fat man so he exploited others tragedy for money...
2004-10-06 [Dil*]: ...why your school?...er..
2004-10-06 [Lioness123]: I don't think they should have places SO MUCH blame on K-mart...I think that K-mart should have changed it so that not just anyone can walk in and buy bullets. There should be just as much control over the sale of bullets as there are guns.
2004-10-06 [nameless, again]: I go to Columbine and live litteraly right behind it...
2004-10-06 [Doormat]: see? you refuse to watch Farenheight 9/11! it reveals even more facts than bowling for columbine...im not even going to bother arguing anymore....its sad.
2004-10-06 [nameless, again]: Ha, your just "brainwashed" by a liberal fat man....
2004-10-06 [Doormat]: lol...you're brainwashed by a crazy old bald idiot....
2004-10-06 [Lioness123]: *glares* yes, it is. Its so sad that people allow themselves to be brainwashed by a fat finger-pointin
2004-10-06 [nameless, again]: Do you read pro-Bush books or see any movie that puts Bush in a positive light? No, because your stuck on a single thought and your just using this wiki to waste peoples time
2004-10-06 [Lioness123]: his only REAL talent is pissing people off. Actually, he's really quite good at it.
2004-10-06 [Doormat]: im not going to argue about who brainwashed who...and if we're so wrong...why are there 4X members in bush haters association???
2004-10-06 [nameless, again]: You have not once put out a fact or thought that proved you have a individual opinion or any valid reasoning Diablo...
2004-10-06 [Lioness123]: because that wiki's been around longer than this one.
2004-10-06 [Lioness123]: and plus there's alot of hateful people here in Elftown that just plain hate everything and everbody.
2004-10-06 [Doormat]: can you confirm that?
2004-10-06 [Lioness123]: I visit hundreds of houses a week. Would you like me to start counting them?
2004-10-06 [nameless, again]: Because we don't advertise these wiki's (at least the Support Bush one)...Were not trying to force our oppinons on people, thats brainwashing..
2004-10-06 [Doormat]: hateful? you hate moore, i hate bush....just because I hate bush doesnt mean I hate EVERYONE
2004-10-06 [Lioness123]: I never said I hated him. I don't hate anybody. I seriously disagree with alot of the things he does though.
2004-10-06 [nameless, again]: Do you know why Moore decided to do a documentery on polotics? He was class president one year in high school...(interview on CNN)
2004-10-06 [nameless, again]: He must be really qualified, lets feed off his every word...
2004-10-06 [Doormat]: sigh...you realize this can go on forever......i
2004-10-06 [nameless, again]: Like I said...we don't feel the need to push our oppinions on others, so yes we are on the defensive....
2004-10-06 [Lioness123]: *sighs and faintly smiles as slowly shakes head*
2004-10-06 [Lioness123]: isn't it funny how some people come in here and say, "I don't wanna argue, I don't wanna argue"
2004-10-06 [nameless, again]: hehe, I know *shakes head*
2004-10-06 [Lioness123]: I suggest that everyone in here who's online right now go into the bush haters association right now and politely add our opinions and comments and see what happens.
2004-10-06 [nameless, again]: Hehe, lots of degrading responces from extreamist liberals is my bet...
2004-10-06 [Lioness123]: anyone want to try it?
2004-10-06 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Someone already did. He got things thrown at him and was yelled out. How interesting that we don't do that.
2004-10-06 [Lioness123]: yeah.. :(
2004-10-06 [Ylaraniala Majere]: It stinks that that happens... i mean, I respect those that want to vote for Kerry. I think that they are making a horribly bad decision, but I know that they aren't BAD, just... wrong in my opinion. They don't agree with me. That's not a crime! This is a FREE nation! Sheesh.
2004-10-06 [Lioness123]: i know. well, I guess all you can do is try not to get people like that started and just go vote when the time comes
2004-10-06 [Ylaraniala Majere]: What stinks is when you CAN'T vote... *sigh*
2004-10-07 [Cat0132]: i was throughly entertained in history today, we saw a video about a bunch of nuts who are conviced teh earth was flat, u should have seen it we all died laughing! and then at the end guess where it came from? canada...now that really made me laugh...then we watched a 50's video about dating that was almost as funny...
2004-10-07 [Lioness123]: HAHA! those old videos are a hoot. Especially when back then it was considered shocking and reveiling for a girl to wear a two piece bathing suit.
2004-10-07 [Cat0132]: o man...he invited to the girl to the community center to help set up a savanger sale, and then he saw a scedule of events, but oh no! what if she doesnt like biking! so then he asks his friend, who goes "why dont u ask her" and im going DEAR GOD UR STUPID
2004-10-07 [Kyrinn]: Hey, they heckled that one for Mystery Science Theater 3000! Gawd it was funny! The heckles were great! lol!! Like when they were talking about going to the weenie roast. The heckle was "NO NO DONT DO IT!!" lol
2004-10-07 [Cat0132]: OMH ARE U KIDDING! THE WEENIE ROAST!!!! hahaa....ooo i HAVE to see that!
2004-10-07 [Kyrinn]: Its on one of the video shorts releases, I cant remember off hand which one.. It is soooo funny! I about wet myself! lol!
2004-10-08 [Cat0132]: i know its funny even without their commentary!
2004-10-09 [farfy girl]: lol, I posted some pro-life things on the "Bush haters association argue page", and I don't see it there anymore... What's the point of having an argue page if the owners just shove a sock in your mouth? Just goes to show you how low the democRATS will go, I guess. At least over here the only reason that a post will be deleted is because of foul language, while over there, it's a lot of sailor talk. LOL
2004-10-09 [Cat0132]: i know, but i watched the whole debate today...and wow, kerry is so stupid...and i still just a kick outta this quote "i voted for it, before i voted against it" oh, and i loved when he talked about because this country as at war we shouldnt have tax cuts, and then no less that 2 minutes later he talked about how he would cut taxes! wether u like it or not WE ARE AT WAR, now what did u say 2 minutes ago? that guy stands for NOTHING its digusting!
2004-10-09 [Cat0132]: oh, and RIGHT before the debate O'Reilly talked about the french getting oil from saddam and that whole scandel, and i was just beaming because thats exacly what i stated in a paper i had to write about why we should go to war! that was 2 years ago! and i remember the whole class looking at me like i was crazy, but look its even bigger then i thought! haha! i hope my teacher sees how right i was so long ago...
2004-10-09 [Lioness123]: yay! good for you
2004-10-09 [farfy girl]: That's cool! :) I heard of some college girl that had an assignment to "Write a letter to the president concerning the war" So, the girl went home and wrote a letter encouraging the president and applauding his decision to go to war and not back down. She turned it back in to the teacher later, and he just looked at it for a while, put in down, and said "This is simply unacceptable. You were supposed to write a letter of protest." She refused, and got an F.
2004-10-09 [raiderxx]: thats simply STUPID!!! i cant believe an adult would do something like that!! just goes to show you..
2004-10-09 [Ylaraniala Majere]: What a... the teacher is an idiot who can't separate her views with the teaching... which happens way too often. I'd be proud of my F.
2004-10-09 [Kyrinn]: THis was college?? that is bull poopie. THe teacher cannot force his political views onto his students. Him giving the F was unethical, even if the course was ethics. The front of a class is not a pulpet to preach from, it is for learning...
2004-10-09 [Kyrinn]: Do you know what came of that student? Did she complain to the department?
2004-10-09 [raiderxx]: yeah the teacher could get in BIG trouble.
2004-10-09 [Ylaraniala Majere]: She should! That's just stupid. I mean, everyone knows that the school system is liberal, or tends to be, but really! That's way overboard.
2004-10-10 [farfy girl]: I don't think that he did get in trouble. It's all run by the liberals now. They have control of our media, schools, and government... -_-
2004-10-10 [Cat0132]: yeah, just like how in univercity of cali they allowed students to wear armbands supporting hamas...that was the UCLA actually, who also took the TINY cross of the cali flag...i hate those people...
2004-10-10 [Ylaraniala Majere]: I just hate California... most people there are half conservative, but the people in LA and those in San Francisco are so populous they drown out the conservative vote... of course, a conservative in California is a little liberal anyway unless they don't belong there.
2004-10-14 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Just came from the debate, and WHOOOO! BUSH SCORES!! lol, he was marvelous, and putting Kerry's spot in the mainstream of politics as the far left BANK was GOOOD... and the last question got me all sappy ^^
2004-10-14 [Kyrinn]: Very cool, I missed it! *pouts* Nice to hear our boy did well. *grin*
2004-10-14 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Well is a serious understatement
2004-10-14 [Kyrinn]: Yes!!! YES YES YES!!! WOOOO!!! Kerry looks like a drunkard no matter how well they dress him up!
2004-10-14 [Lioness123]: hehe, hows everyone doing? did I miss much?
2004-10-14 [farfy girl]: Hey Lioness! ^_^ I don't really know; I haven't been paying much attention to the wiki.
2004-10-14 [farfy girl]: I'm kinda surprised that in the latest debate that they brought up immigration. That's a big peeve of mine. I'm sick of hearing about the millions of illegal immigrants coming here from Mexico, then pouring over here and leeching off our increasingly socialist system... It makes me physically ill sometimes to think about it.
2004-10-14 [farfy girl]: Oh yes, and anyone who would like to debate at the BHA Argue page, please do. I can't be there all the time to counter the socialist drivel.
2004-10-14 [Cat0132]: haha, i missed it as well, sorry the redsox were playing the yankees, and its the biggest rivalery in the history of sports...so yeah...
2004-10-14 [Ylaraniala Majere]: *rolls eyes* Well, you missed a good one...
2004-10-14 [Lioness123]: (2004-04-12) -- Sen. John Forbes Kerry, the presumptive Democrat nominee attempting to become the nation's second Roman Catholic president, yesterday said, "Jesus Christ would have been saved from the agony of crucifixion if abortion had been legal and affordable in the early part of the first century A.D."
2004-10-14 [Lioness123]: Mr. Kerry received communion during a Roman Catholic worship service Easter morning despite warnings from several bishops that Catholic politicians who support abortion should not receive the Eucharist.
2004-10-14 [Lioness123]: "From the gospel accounts, we know that Mary was not yet married when she unexpectedly became pregnant," Mr. Kerry told a crowd of admirers on the steps of the Paulist Center, described by The New York Times as a kind of New Age church. "Because Mary could not choose a safe, affordable abortion, Jesus was forced to grow to adulthood and fulfill the prophesies -- enduring the inhumanity of being tortured and nailed to the cross."
2004-10-14 [Lioness123]: Mr. Kerry says he dreams of "an America where no person will ever suffer pain and death beyond the womb."
2004-10-14 [Cat0132]: what the heck? lol...shows what a hypocrites they are...and something is wrong with my monitor...i can hardly read...
2004-10-14 [Lioness123]: Ylaraniala Majere, you'd better make a wiki like this in elfpack and soon, the [bush haters association] is already moving in.
2004-10-14 [Cat0132]: elfpack?
2004-10-14 [Kyrinn]: Hey Lioness123 is that true? I dont watch the news. But ya know, would nt be surprised...
2004-10-14 [Lioness123]: www.elfpack.co
2004-10-14 [Lioness123]: kyrinn, my dad sent my an e-mail with that info that he got online. I'll see if I can find the exact website....
2004-10-14 [Cat0132]: a new elftown...? WEIRD this site is unique and now they create anpther one? so uncool...
2004-10-14 [Lioness123]: found it....its http://exvigil
2004-10-14 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Go ahead and make your own, I shall never go one Elfpack. Elftown is plenty unrestricted for me.
2004-10-14 [Lioness123]: okie dokie, I hope people join it!
2004-10-14 [Lioness123]: is it ok if I copy a few things from here like the rules and such?
2004-10-14 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Go ahead, I don't mind in the least.
2004-10-14 [Lioness123]: awesome, thanks
2004-10-15 [I stabbith ye]: y do you support bush?
2004-10-15 [lohawefniwubf]: Elfpack is full of weirdos that aren't from ET.
2004-10-15 [I stabbith ye]: i'm on there and i'm from elftown
2004-10-15 [lohawefniwubf]: Same here, except it's full of randoms, who aren't form here, and are just there to cyber and get nude pictures.
2004-10-15 [Lioness123]: yeah, like this hot shot I found... [sexy man beast]
2004-10-15 [Kyrinn]: what is the big deal about cybering???? I dont get it..
2004-10-15 [Ylaraniala Majere]: It's just immoral... I mean, it's sex on the internet!
2004-10-15 [raiderxx]: yeah... i mean... most of the time, you baraly know the person...
2004-10-15 [Cat0132]: in fact its more like all the time...haha its so retarded...
2004-10-15 [Kyrinn]: I know a few adults who claim to be against it and yet they press the issue in their rps. Like THAT is alright.. Sheesh..
2004-10-15 [I stabbith ye]: Hey there isnt' anything wrong with cybering lol..it's funny ^_~
2004-10-15 [Kyrinn]: Its STUPID.
2004-10-15 [Ylaraniala Majere]: I agree, it's stupid. The fact that you can cyber but you won't be considered a nonvirgin... that's a LOT of what gets me. Also, I mean, come ON! It's just immoral. Sex is always immoral unless you are married in my opinion.
2004-10-15 [Kyrinn]: Very nice to hear that, I feel the same way. Too many ppl think that going without sex will cause instant death. My husband and I dated 5 years before we were married, and on our wedding night we were both virgins. Too many relationships (married and not married) base their love on the sex they are having. as soon as it is labeled dull, they seem to think that looking forsex elsewhere is alright... WHATEVER!!! Sheesh! I do not understand the constant need of some ppl for persistant rubbing and pelvic grinding. Sex should not be a constant factor, as it is with SOME ppl in this place...
2004-10-16 [Lioness123]: yeah, I don't think anyone should marry someone unless they can imaging themselves still loving them 50 years down the road when their partner is old, wrinkley and no longer attractive.
2004-10-16 [Kyrinn]: Too many ppl thinkin the moment.. As in Nookie now, you know that instant gratification thing.. I knew a girl who spent like 6 thousand dollars to get married, and when I saw her a year later, she told me they split after 6 months, because it wasnt fun anymore... I wanted to smack her.
2004-10-16 [Lioness123]: hey, check out this banner I made for the Elfpack bush supporters association wiki!>>>
2004-10-16 [Kyrinn]: Ooooo Nice!!! I like it!
2004-10-16 [Tiger Shark]: *applauds* I LOVE IT!!!!!!
2004-10-16 [Lioness123]: thanks! *beams with pride* I think it does the wiki justice.
2004-10-16 [Tiger Shark]: heck yeah!! can I post it on my page?
2004-10-16 [Lioness123]: ask Ylaraniala Majere first. I want her to ok it before people start using this as this wiki's badge....
2004-10-16 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Yeah, go ahead and use it! One question: Can I use it? Please? lol
2004-10-16 [Lioness123]: *grins wide* of course! please do. :D
2004-10-16 [Lioness123]: ooOOOooh....wa
2004-10-16 [farfy girl]: I've heard of highschool kids being shunned for being virgins... It's really sad... I'm just glad that there are still some kids around that go to public school and still remain pure. The culture in America in general puts waaay too much emphasis on sex. It's not everything in the world! In my relationship, I have a very strong mental and emotional bond, as well as what I consider a healthy amount of physical stuff, but NEVER will I consider giving up my virginity before marriage. I decide this not because I am religious, but I consider it wrong to do to myself, and my children deserve better than to be gambled with for my own pleasure. They mean a lot more to me than that.
2004-10-16 [Dil*]: hey wtf....shunned for being virgin?! that's unheard of here...around here, the average teen loses their virginity by age 17 o.O
2004-10-16 [lohawefniwubf]: I'm 17, and a virgin
2004-10-16 [Dil*]: 16 here buddy ....and i've only dated one guy in my life....so my virginity aint' going anywhere anytime soon :P
2004-10-16 [farfy girl]: That's great.
2004-10-16 [Dil*]: whoops did i say by 17...i meant at 17...like around that age.
2004-10-16 [lohawefniwubf]: lol, i'm saving mine till marriage
2004-10-16 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Me too. I think my future husband and children are worth that!
2004-10-16 [lohawefniwubf]: Totally *except swap husband, for wife)
2004-10-16 [Lioness123]: jeez....ya know, I'm 19 and I never even had a boyfriend OR my first kiss until around a year ago.
2004-10-16 [Ylaraniala Majere]: *shrugs* I won't kiss until I'm at least eighteen and a half, maybe much later. Though I do have a boyfriend. He's the one I'll be kissing, lol
2004-10-16 [Cat0132]: haha, yeah, well maybe virgins arnt shunned persay, well the guys area lot more then the girls i'll say! funny this should come up, me and some semi-friends (and a good friend) were laughing about how in hinduism when you go to heaven you are greeted by 75 virgins, and the guy was like "were do they come from? i can assure you not here..."
2004-10-16 [Ylaraniala Majere]: lol, yeah, but a lot come from religious people, then the few that aren't religious... there are plenty of virgins out there, just not ENOUGH.
2004-10-16 [Cat0132]: well...yeah...
2004-10-16 [Cat0132]: but i was surprised that there were at least 3 juniors guys who agred with me on alot of things...
2004-10-16 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Well, there have to be SOME people... and school, especially highschool, stinks in my opinion... but then, I'm biased.
2004-10-16 [Cat0132]: highschool isnt so bad...i dont mind it really, its so much better then middle school, and im a sophmore now (which many say is the best year) my classes are good i like most of my teachers, the people i dont like leave me alone, the people i do like im on good terms with, my teo best friends go to the same school as me now...its pretty good, though i do miss last years seniors...o yeah, and i can make fun of freshmen as much as i want!
2004-10-17 [farfy girl]: lol, Ylaraniala, the only reason for you not kissing till then is because you won't see your boyfriend till then. =P I couldn't hold off on that till I was 16, like I had suggested to myself.
2004-10-17 [Ylaraniala Majere]: lol, YUP! Teehee, and you are a hypocrite! lol ^_^
2004-10-17 [farfy girl]: I do not deny that! ^_^
2004-10-17 [Dil*]: I hated my elementary school..so highschool is good.
2004-10-17 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Well, I hated school because I was smart and they treated us like we were junk... and one of my brothers hated me because I was a girl, and the other one was getting threatened, he finally retaliated with a rock that didn't hurt anyone, it was just a warning, and he got in trouble, while the bullies got in NOTHING, the school asked my brother to apologize to the BULLIES!
2004-10-17 [Dil*]: That's hideous, the thing is i was kinda bullied in elementary school..but it got better in highschool, i think people started to grow up.
2004-10-17 [Lioness123]: I HATED elementary school because it was a private catholic school with rich snobby kids that didn't want to have anything to do with me. I didn't have a friend hardly at ALL until 6th grade. Thank GOD I had my cat to keep me company
2004-10-17 [Dil*]: i had 2 friends...one was older than me.
2004-10-17 [Ylaraniala Majere]: I had no real friends. So much for 'socialization
2004-10-17 [Lioness123]: *nods*
2004-10-18 [flaed]: Yep. Teens are generally immature. There are exceptions, but it is true nontheless.
2004-10-18 [I stabbith ye]: lol so what arn't we allowed to be immature now? after all we are only kids ^_^
2004-10-18 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Well, teens are supposed to be more mature than the younger ones... and you can be silly and still be mature. ^_^
2004-10-18 [I stabbith ye]: true......
2004-10-18 [Ylaraniala Majere]: That's how I am... people always say I am REALLY mature, some even mistake me for eighteen or twenty... and I'm sixteen. Just turned... :^P
2004-10-18 [I stabbith ye]: go us and our maturnes
2004-10-19 [Lioness123]: hehe B)
2004-10-19 [Sweet 6 6 6--H.I.M.]: hey i got my ballot for the pres election in the mail today my first time voting and i already filled the pres one in for bush
2004-10-19 [I stabbith ye]: *No comment on how stupied you are not to vote for kerry* Sorry but I don't like bush....don't ask me why I keep coming on here :P
2004-10-19 [Ylaraniala Majere]: *no comment on how stupid you are not to vote for Bush* Perhaps just to talk? And that's great!
2004-10-19 [Sweet 6 6 6--H.I.M.]: thank u be waiting to send my ballot in *no comment onhow stupid that flip-flop kerry is*
2004-10-19 [Kyrinn]: watching the news last night, my blood pressure went up.. They are doing pre voting, and claiming there are "problems". Stupid Democrats, fer cryin out loud!! Again with the crappy voter cards!! Can those ppl even COUNT?? ALl on the news it was Bush this and Bush that, like he is to blame for the faulty absentee ballots.. ALl the mud slinging on the Kerry and Democratic side is getting ANNOYING!
2004-10-19 [Sweet 6 6 6--H.I.M.]: it is very annoying
2004-10-19 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Yeah, and Bush is just trying to make sure the mud doesn't land on him.
2004-10-19 [Sweet 6 6 6--H.I.M.]: and it shouldnot
2004-10-19 [farfy girl]: Yeah, and all the crud about Bush trying to suppress the black vote and saying that he'll bring the draft back... I just want to puke sometimes. No democrat that I've heard can name a single republican that tried to suppress black voters or even how they did it, and it was the DEMOCRATS that were pushing the draft thing to make young people scared and be against the war. I've heard a lot of guys in the military say that there are so many people volunteering that they're having to turn people away! Sheesh! I'm still a minor, so I feel powerless to help the world fight this scum. -_-
2004-10-19 [Cat0132]: I know, the draft idea was sprung up by a incredibly liberal guy, who attacks Bush alot, so he made a wedsite saying Bush was going to bring it back. HELLO PEOPLE we are NOT going to have a draft! sheesh! no draft PERIOD, a liberal started to saying Bush wanted to! ok so everyone repeat, THERE IS NOT GOING TO BE A DRAFT .
2004-10-19 [Ylaraniala Majere]: *repeats angrily*
2004-10-20 [Lioness123]: heck, my own brother is leaving for boot camp tomorrow morning! There is no need for more soldiers. I know alot of gus who are or are going to be in the military
2004-10-20 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Wowsa... O.O Good luck to your brother! And yeah, people are really getting more patriotic under Bush.
2004-10-21 [ceddy]: they are...and as to the draft, come on...the people saying that don't understand the situation in the military. my sister is active duty and has only been called once. it's the liberals who think that all our soldiers are already expended. we've just shipped the reserves and national guard. most of our main force hasn't left once. okay sorry i kind of went off thats just annoying.
2004-10-21 [Cat0132]: hey, this may be sortof off topic, but history is being made currently, the red sox are beating the yankees! the curse will rise tonight!
2004-10-21 [Ylaraniala Majere]: No, actually I didn't realize that, Ceddy. I actually had no idea that that was the case. Though I also knew that we had no need to get more troops. And baseball is most definitely off topic! lol, it's okay though.
2004-10-21 [KimoN]: Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel
2004-10-21 [Ylaraniala Majere]: *raises an eyebrow* Or the first joy of those who are truly free.
2004-10-21 [Lioness123]: *catches my attention* ...what was that, kimoN? what do you mean by that??
2004-10-22 [KimoN]: The quote is by Samuel Johnson. People who think the main body of power in a society are wrong about invading other countries, can immediately be accused of not being ‘patriotic’ enough, without more detailed explanation or proof of the reasons of going to war.
2004-10-22 [Some Random]: i take it all you bams support the war on iraq
2004-10-22 [Some Random]: its also in 1984
2004-10-22 [Some Random]: endless war to keep the people afraid
2004-10-22 [Some Random]: an farfy girl it was jed bush who tried to suppress the black vote
2004-10-22 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Flurry of rubbish, sorry to say... and not everyone supports the war.
2004-10-22 [Cat0132]: RED SOXS WON HELL HAS FROZEN OVER! my city is in a state of riot....haha
2004-10-22 [Ri'hala]: O.o' i never thought they'd do it but they did.....let's hope it isn't a sign of victory for kerry...ugh i'll move to canada if he wins....no canada is full of john kerry's where will i go????O.o
2004-10-22 [Lioness123]: ri hala, we could hop a plane to australia! g'day, mate!
2004-10-22 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Crikey!
2004-10-22 [Lioness123]: *imagines myself chasing after cute little joey*
2004-10-22 [farfy girl]: Australia is no better. There really isn't a more free place in the world to go... -_- If America goes socialist, we're done for. The great country that many many men and women gave the ultimate sacrifice will be down the John if these raving lunatics have their way.
2004-10-22 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Literally down the John. John Kerry. And John Edwards, for that matter.
2004-10-22 [Ylaraniala Majere]: (reposting for KimoN, in acceptable language) 12:50:18 KimoN: in america the top 10% of the population own 80 % of the wealth. 35 million americans llive below the poverty line, and more since bush came to power. Ur country is ----, and could be so much better. I have nothing against americans, just the people in power there.
2004-10-22 [Ylaraniala Majere]: KimoN, a warning: please follow the rules or all your comments will be deleted, not just the ones that break the rules. This happens to everyone who does so, please do not do that again.
2004-10-22 [Ylaraniala Majere]: I believe that my family lives beneath the so-called "poverty line"... we are doing very well, thank you. The people in power, you say. What about the person that actually is GOOD and happens to get a lot of money? My father wants to become a politician, and hopefully get something for it. If he gets rich, does that suddenly make the good poor person into the bad rich guy? Also, our country is the best in the world (in my opinion), I know it could be better, but it's mostly the people in it that have to change, not the government, save to grow smaller.
2004-10-22 [KimoN]: Ok - the person who is GOOD and get lots of money. When he has an excess amount of money, he is depriving of other families of that money. I know single parent families who have towo full time jobs because they cant earn enough to keep their family going. THe minimum wage is far too low and as a result many people work like slaves to get enough money. And that is where the problem lies, some peoples wages are far too high, which means that the people on the poorer part of the socioeconomic spectrum have to struggle with low wages. Its is a great injustice..
2004-10-22 [KimoN]: sorry bout the swearing before
2004-10-22 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Just don't do it again, and I accept the apology - I just want the wiki clean is all. :^)
2004-10-22 [Ylaraniala Majere]: And as for the people who get the money, I agree that they should give some to charities, but the problem is the charities don't give money to those people, they give money to the homeless and such, not the people who are struggling, but the people who have fallen. It also is the rich person's choice, not the government's. And trust me... the minimum wage stinks.
2004-10-22 [Ylaraniala Majere]: I couldn't get a job because of the minimum wage when I wanted to, and people would hire more if they were given a choice as to what to pay people with menial jobs. Also, the people who are actually supporting families shouldn't get those jobs no matter HOW high the minimum wage is. They pay too little anyway. No one can support a family flipping hamburgers, just not possible.
2004-10-22 [KimoN]: why do you think its a rich persons choice to give money to the poor? The rich usually exploit the poor to make money for them. they make them work in theie buissness for penuts, and because the stupid government doesnt increase the minumum wage, the buisness owners get away with this. The buisnesses arent chariteis cos they are competing with oter buisness, and cant help out their employees. All the government needs to do is raise the minumum wage. The government does not side with the poor, but with the rich. And u know why that is? because the government officials all have shares in buisness, and want to maximise profit by not rising minimum wage. They are greedy evil ppl
2004-10-22 [Ylaraniala Majere]: The businesses aren't SUPPOSED to be charities. There are charities here that help out people, and people give to these charities. I have no idea if they have those in Scotland, I admit. Do they? *curious* (P.S. Yes, I do check on who I talk with, lol, and I saw that you check too.) And it is their choice because THEY MADE THE MONEY. Thus, they make the choices. And trust me, very few people actually work for peanuts anymore... and there are charities who help those people out, I forgot about them for a second. *sheepish* And no, actually, let me tell you something. If the minimum wage went down, then people would still not necessarily accept low paying jobs. Just as they don't now.
2004-10-22 [Ylaraniala Majere]: So the businesses and the people would either make a deal or the person wouldn't accept the job. People who just want a little money would get a little, people who want a lot would get a lot. And there would be more spending by people, thus more business, thus more happiness. Economics.
2004-10-22 [KimoN]: That wouldnt work because there are too many people who want to work in america and not enough jobs. Its not the job givers competeing for the workers, its the workers competing with eachother. So the employers can do what they want.
2004-10-22 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Not quite correct. You see, no one would work if the conditions and the pay stank. Also, people MAKE jobs by wanting to succeed. And I see a lot of trying to succeed around here. My own mother is a small business owner, and currently has no employees. Why? Because she'd have to pay them too much. She can pay us what she wishes, and I have a lot more money now because of it. Soon, my mother will hire employees, and the jobs will go up. Other people are in the hiring time right now, more small businesses than you would think doing that. And why would raising the minimum wage, which limits the amounts of employees a person can hire, give more people jobs?
2004-10-22 [Lioness123]: I've heard that senators and other congress people after they retire can NAME their yearly salary. I don't think its fair to those who worked hard their whole lives and don't get NEAR as much as they do after they retire.
2004-10-22 [Ri'hala]: woo i'm late on replying but hells yeah! let visit our Aussie buddehs! they kick ass! and the Israelis! they kick ass too! wooo! << *calms down*
2004-10-22 [Ylaraniala Majere]: Yeah, it's wrong, and Ri'hala, crude language... though I agree with you!
2004-10-22 [KimoN]: People work because they know no other way. They could not work, but then they would get benifs which suck as well.
2004-10-22 [KimoN]: Samll buisnesses-fai
2004-10-22 [Cat0132]: ok heres the deal, most rich people in America earned it, through being smart, bussiness smart ect. If it wasnt that way, and more communinistic (is that a word?) there would be no competion- leading to no need for people to try to make things better. Thats the good thing baout the country, if you work hard, and are smart, and hopefully if you better the country/world you get rich. Yet I hope you guys understand the rich arent always the happiest, and Bill Gates I hear is giving almost all of his money away when he dies, leaving enough for his kids to live well/go to college, yet his kids will still have to work, so they can understand how he had to work hard to get to where he is.
2004-10-22 [Cat0132]: Rich people arent all bad, and they dont all get there by giping of other people (those are just the ones you see on TV all the others you hardly hear about which is why people think that) alot of them worked hard to get where they are now. The rich aren't a evil group of people who feed off the poorer like leeches...its not medeival times people...
2004-10-22 [KimoN]: My point does not lie in wether the rich get to where they are through decent or indecnt ways. My point is that they can legally accumulate a lot of wealth that they DONT need, that could be used by other people who are VERY hard working people and yet still struggle. These people who struggle are americans. Instead of being millionaires, i find it fair that rich people can live in semi-luxury to help their fellow humans who deserve far more than the wealth they have. After all is it the smart business man alone that gets him where he is? No it is the thousands of busy bees that turn the cogs. Yet they still live in poverty. They deserve THE SAME as the man who lives at the top.
